Dr. Panter-Brick is a medical anthropologist with expertise in risk and resilience in humanitarian settings. She leads research initiatives to develop effective partnerships between scholars, practitioners, and policymakers. This talk will draw from two recent projects – with Syrian refugee youth in Jordan and community-based organizations supporting migrants at the US-Mexico border – to discuss how biocultural and ethnographic research intersects with humanitarians action in crisis settings.
