Student Seminar on Summer Experiences

Join us on October 30th from 12:00 – 1:00 for a student seminar on summer experiences in Mather Memorial 201. Hear from anthropology undergraduate students and learn about their hands-on research, both locally and around the world, and the amazing opportunities out there for anthropology students. Refreshments and light snacks will be served.

 

12:00 – 12:10: Diane Bernadini talks about her participation in a paleoanthropology field school experience at Koobi Fora, Kenya

12:10 – 12:20: Caitlin Schwarz worked in the paleobotany department of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History as a Kirtlandia Research Intern

12:20 – 12:30: Amanda Slotter participated in the Manot Cave excavation in Israel

12:30 – 12:40: Rachel Sosnowchik conducted research at the European Institute of Women’s Health in Dublin, Ireland

12:40 – 12:50: Catherine Taylor participated in a paleoanthropology field school at Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania

12:50 – 1:00: Tara Tran studied small scale rural farmers in Vietnam through the Experiential Fellowship in Anthropology
