The Anthropology Department offers cutting edge training for both undergraduates and graduates. Our programs include the traditional BA, MA/PhD programs, plus a BA/MA (Integrated Graduate Studies program in which undergraduate students can graduate with an MA in 4 years), as well as a 1-Year MA in Medical Anthropology and Global Health that includes a certificate in Global Health, and joint MA/MPH and PhD/MPH, MA/MD and PhD/MD degree programs.

Stephanie McClure (PhD 2013) spoke with the Human Biology Association on the topic of “Bringing Anthropology to Public Health.” Dr. McClure is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Alabama.

Heather Baily: PhD Anthropology 2020, MPH 2020

July 2021

Dr. Baily graduated with a PhD in Anthropology and an MPH in May 2020. She is a Population/Health/Nutrition Foreign Service Officer with USAID. Foreign Service Officers are posted for a 2 or 4-year tour at a US Embassy and serve as technical experts overseeing USAID-funded programs.
