Posted on February 24, 2016

Congratulations to John Reynolds Harkness Professor of Anthropology Melvyn Goldstein for being awarded the Distinguished Faculty Research Award for his internationally recognized research in Tibet. The presentation was made by President Barbara Snyder, Provost Bud Baeslack, Vice President for Research Suzanne Rivera and Dean Cyrus Taylor during Professor Goldstein’s Introduction to Social and Cultural Anthropology class.  Professor Janet McGrath nominated Professor Goldstein for the award.  According to Sue Rivera, who was on the selection committee, Professor Goldstein’s case was so strong that his nomination was immediately and unanimously approved.
